It’s been one month since my birthday and so the first twelfth of my 34 Before 34 is under my belt. I’ll be honest, I’m feeling pretty chuffed with myself as I’ve actually managed to tick off a few bits on there! I’ll be sharing a little round-up post each month – more to hold myself accountable than for any other reason – but you can click on the 34 Before 34 link in the top menu bar of this blog any time to see how I’m getting on overall (if the mood so takes you…)
So, month 1 of 12 done – how did I get on…?
When I decided to set myself some targets to achieve before my 34th birthday next year, I knew I wanted to make sure they were all positive in one way or another. Whether that be by way of broadening my horizons, having new experiences, learning something new, or by encouraging and nurturing the loves and friendships I am lucky enough to have in my life. And so, here we are: the first of my Blogger Spotlight posts. My intention is to have 12 of these – one each month – over the next year, telling you all about particular bloggers I love.
Today I’m starting the series with someone who deserves to be the very first on this list for no reason other than that she really is a pretty incredible human being. So make yourself comfortable and let me tell you all about Grace…
I was very kindly gifted with these beautiful flowers. All opinions are, of course, 100% honest and my own.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but there’s something about having fresh flowers in the house that makes me feel like I’ve got my life together. Sure I might be behind on the housework because I spent my evening binge watching the latest must-see Netflix Original, but if I’ve got a full vase on the windowsill I feel like I’m winning at life. An illusion of organisation and running a home like clockwork!
I was very kindly provided with this lovely day out free of charge by Hotels.com. All opinions remain 100% honest and my own.
It’s no secret that I love London. Despite working there Monday to Friday, I will always jump at the chance to spend some of my downtime there. Wandering the streets of the City is one of our favourite things to do; nipping down side roads and alleyways to find out where they lead and what treasures they hide. It’s been a while since we last spent a day exploring the City, so when I was challenged to explore King’s Cross and find out what it had to offer, it seemed like the perfect opportunity!
It’s been almost 2 months since I last wrote a Dear Diary post… I’m nothing if not sporadic! But I’m here now and that’s all that matters, right?
Since my last post of this type life has been full and busy. I’ve been away a few times (Stratford-upon-Avon, Crete, Shropshire and Cambridge), got engaged, had my 33rd birthday, celebrated my Mum’s birthday, went to an Elvis tribute night, got another tattoo, been without a car for a month as the engine died in a giant cloud of smoke, and had the odd few nights out with friends.
