There’s no denying that in recent years society has become a lot more aware of self-care and the ways in which we can aid our bodies in terms of what we put in it. Vitamins and supplements are big business and you can barely get through a day online without seeing a story telling you what you should and shouldn’t be eating.
Along with this raise in consciousness about food intake to keep us feeling our best has come a greater interest in how we can do the same for our pets, with an increased awareness in general of all the bad stuff that goes in to so many of the pet foods you can buy from the supermarket shelves.
Do you ever just sit there, lost in thought, imagining all the things you would do if you won the lottery? If you didn’t have to work and money wasn’t an object?
I have. In fact, I’ve been thinking about it for years and, honestly, my dreams have remained the same for so long that I think they’re pretty much set in stone.
As well as my previously mentioned ‘make my family financially stable’ and ‘see the world’, one unshakeable dream I’ve had for the longest time is building our own house. To buy a house is all well and good, but to be able to build one that you have created in your mind and can make into a reality just seems so magical!
I’ve mentioned a few times that after we finish the garden, the next job I plan to tackle in the house is getting the bathroom sorted. It’s functional and does what it needs to do, but I don’t find it’s a room I enjoy being in and I’m forever staring at the walls thinking about how I can make it look better.
In this day and age, bathrooms are a pretty big statement in any house and there’s a little something in all of us I think that loves to be in one that feels like it has a touch of luxury about it. However, for most of us splashing the cash isn’t so easy, or, if you’re like us, you’re living in rented so you’ll want to keep expenditure to a minimum.
Homewares lovers, prepare yourselves, I have got a brilliant new find to introduce you to!
A totally new discovery for me, Rooi.com is the perfect website for anyone that – like me – eats, sleeps and breathes anything for the home and garden.
Do you ever get an idea in your head and no matter what you do your brain keeps on returning to it? That is me right now with thinking about my dining table. In fact, if Ben got £1.00 for every time I said “dining table” to him in the last few weeks, he’d probably have enough money to emigrate and get away from me incessantly banging on about it.
Never mind the fact our bedroom still needs the final few details put in place, or that we’re in the middle of a major overhaul of the back garden. Never mind that the stairs and landing need re-plastering and painting, no, my brain is already thinking about the next few jobs to add to the list, namely decorating the spare room and sorting out the dining area.
