So after my little announcement the other week updating you on the new direction my life was taking, I’m now finally finding myself more settled and, with the internet now connected in my new home (wahoo!) I can get back on the blogging wagon and thought a little life update was the best place to start, as things have changed quite dramatically in the past few months.
So, first off I’m now living in my new home with my house mate, Steve. It’s a cute little 2-bedroom house in a nice town in Essex, not too far from friends and family. It needs decorating as it was a little on the tired side décor-wise, but our Landlady has said she’s happy for us to make it our own while we’re there, so we’re going to be making it more homely in the coming weeks – when we find the time/money that is! I love it though and even on the first night of sleeping there, it already felt like home.
Moving day – you can see what my priorities were…
Well, she’s not quite a ‘pup’ as she’s 2-years old, but I now have my pooch living with me. She’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossed with a Boxer (as far as we know) and she is beautiful. Sometimes I find myself just gazing at her and thinking about how much I love her, haha! She’s a really affectionate dog and always wants to be with you, plus she gives the best cuddles ever, but she has a few issues with barking so I am working on training/acclimatising her and hopefully, in time, I’ll be able to stop that side of her personality. If that fails, I’ll have to take her to a behaviourist to work out what’s causing it, but I’m going to persevere for a while and see if I can break the habit myself first.
Thankfully, she gets on great with the cats – within 3 hours of being in the same house they were touching noses through the stair gate and now they’ve started just hanging out together which I love – I can’t wait for the day I find them all snuggled up together; that’s a Facebook cover photo moment for sure!
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you’ll have seen mention of this already – I have a new bit of fluff. We’ve “known of” each other for around 13-years as we went to college together but we mixed in different social circles so never spoke, then our paths randomly crossed again and here we are. I’m not going to say too much as there is a possibility he might read this, but he is pretty special and I’m a very happy girl. That’s all I’m going to say about that, haha!
So, life is pretty much unrecognisable to how it was when 2015 started, but I did say back then that I felt there was magic in the air and that this year was going to be a good one – I just didn’t realise it was going to flip itself upside down and rearrange all the parts!
