I have a funny shaped head. Or at least I think I do, as throughout my adult years I’ve searched high and low to find sunglasses that suit me to no avail. No matter the style, colour, shape; they always look ridiculous. So, I had resigned myself to a life spent either squinting or looking like a fool.
Then, out of the blue one day, an email landed in my inbox from Firmoo asking if I would like to choose a pair of sunglasses from their website. As my never-ending quest for a set of eyewear continues, I thought “Sure thing!” and set about browsing their website.
I looked through the various styles and colour options and eventually, after much umming and ahhing, decided on a pair of tortoiseshell shades.
A few days later, they arrived through the post and I donned them to see what they looked like.
(anybody else spend forever looking at themselves in sunglasses from every possible angle to see if they look ok?)
The verdict? I think they look alright!
K is normally the first one to tell me if something looks bad on me and has commented on sunglasses I’ve worn in the past but he hasn’t said a word about these – if he likes them then they must be ok!
My eyes are naturally quite sensitive to light and I’m forever squinting (which I hate as I know it’ll give me wrinkles when I’m older!) so I’ve worn these loads this summer and they’ve really made such a difference.
The shading of the lenses is great and they feel really sturdy and well-made too. The case they come in is also really solid and feels great quality.
I’m so impressed with these glasses as a whole and Firmoo as a company. These glasses retail on their website at $56.00 which is £34.76 (at today’s rate) which I think is really reasonable.
As well as sunglasses, they also stock normal glasses too, and can make up a pair with your prescription if you send the details to them.
I love my shades; I’m definitely going to miss them this winter – maybe I should go all ‘A-List’ and start wearing them indoors? Nahhh… roll on Spring!
